Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Federal Election Law requires us to report the name, address, occupation,and employer for contributions that aggregate in excess of $200 in an election cycle. The maximum an individual may contribute is $2,500per election, with the primary and general elections treated separately. As a result, any initial contribution up to $2,500 is designated for the primary and any additional amount is designated for the general, up to a total of $5,000 per person. A couple may contribute $10,000,designated per person in accordance with the proceeding sentence. Federal multi-candidate PACs may contribute $5,000 for the primary and $5,000 for the general election. Contributions from corporations, labor organizations, federal government contractors, and foreign nationals without permanent residency status (“green cards”) are prohibited.

Reminder, NYS Senate Primary, Thursday, September 13th

A reminder that the NYS state Senate Primary is this Thursday, September 13^th.  Polls will be open at 12noon, and close at 9pm.  This is a highly heated race with incumbent Roy McDonald against Kathy Marchione. 

If you need a ride to the polls please call 610-5396 and we will make arrangements for you.

The Austerlitz Republican Committee

Caucus, August 30th at 7pm

The Austerlitz Republican Committee will be having its Caucus on Thursday August 30th, 2012 at 7 PM.  The caucus will take place at the Austerlitz Town Hall, located at 812 Route 203, in the (hamlet of Spencertown), Austerlitz NY.  The purpose of the caucus is to nominate candidates for the Town Justice Position. All town Republicans are welcome to attend.  

Special Election March 20, 2012

Do not forget to vote this Tuesday, March 20, 2012 for Rich Wager. The polls are open from 6am to 9pm at the Spencertown Firehouse on Memorial Drive. 

To learn more about Rich visit his website at www.wager2012.com.  I would also like to add the first time I met Rich was at the Spencertown Firehouse.  He is someone who has actually been to Austerlitz.
